At home workouts weren’t working for Sarah, so she turned to Townie for results!


What brought you to Townie?

I was working out at home but not being consistent so I wasn’t getting the results I was looking for. I also was looking to be part of a supportive and encouraging community. Seth and I work together and had encouraged me to come try it out. 

What was your first impression? How has that changed?

The first day I was hooked. I loved how challenging the workouts were and variety each day helps to keep me engaged! I loved how not only the coaches were initially very friendly and encouraging but so were all the members! People always introducing themselves and cheering each other on from day one. I try to remember how I was a little nervous my first few weeks so I make sure to speak and encourage new members so they can have the same inviting experience I had. 

What was your first Bright Spot of accomplishment?

For the first 3 months, I thought I would never be able to do a double under. But Jonathan would not give up on me nor did I stop trying and I finally got it! Now I am just trying to be able to do more consecutively. Also, I haven’t been able to do a pull for years. Thought it would be awhile before I could do one, then bam I did and another goal accomplished!

What are you working on now?

I am working on my rope climbs, double unders, and more pull ups! And just improving and getting stronger every week.

What’s your favorite thing about working out at Townie?

I love the positive community I have found at Townie! No matter how I feel that day, I always know as soon I walk in I will be greeted with smiling faces and lots of laughs regardless of how challenging the WOD may be.
