“Hard work pays off.” – Mat Fraser
If you are looking for results, the combination of nutrition coaching and fitness coaching will get you there!
My passion for nutrition coaching stems from a personal nutrition experience…. I started my nutrition journey about three years ago. At this point I was brand new to CrossFit and like most newbies, I had my uncertainties about it. Luckily, I was teamed up with a nutrition coach right away. I honestly didn’t t give my nutrition much thought and just went along with having a coach because that’s what the gym told me to do. Truthfully, this was the single most important thing I have done for my health in addition to joining the gym. Having a coach constantly checking in with me helped me reach my goals and I saw the results I was looking for. I don’t know if I would have stuck with CrossFit if I had not had my nutrition coach.
When I first started with my nutrition coach, in the back of my mind, I was really thinking that my nutrition was ok and told myself, “I can eat whatever I want as long as train really hard.” I couldn’t have been more wrong. From the beginning my nutrition coach took the time to work with me and teach me the healthy habits necessary to fuel my body. We dove into what I was eating, what I was not eating, how much I was eating, my water intake, sleep, mindset, stress, you name it, we went over it. Plus, I got to get an InBody scan once a month and I am a numbers girl, so this was intriguing to me. Come to find out, I was not eating enough… Something I had never been told. I had always had the mindset that the less you eat, the more weight you lose. Not the case, especially when you are participating in high intensity exercise like CrossFit. These habits that were cultivated early on when I first started CrossFit stuck with me and I have seen so much change in myself because of it. I am a totally different person compared to the scared woman who trembled as she walked into a CrossFit box for the first time. My nutrition isn’t perfect by any means, but it is something I work on daily and something I am eager to teach others.
I am sure you have heard, “you cannot out train a bad diet” and that couldn’t be more spot on! Nutrition is at the base of everything and has the largest impact on our fitness. It is not only important to have the nutrients to fuel a workout, but your nutrition can also impact many other aspects of your life; how you sleep, your mood, and even your relationships with others. This is why it is so important!
As your nutrition coach, I am here as an accountability partner who will empower and influence you to build healthy habits. A support system and resource for you. I want to help you reach your goals.
