Meet Coach Haley
We’re excited to introduce one of the newest additions to the CrossFit Townie coaching team, Coach Haley!
Haley has been doing CrossFit for a little over four years, but getting started wasn’t something that came naturally to her.
“Starting something like CrossFit was very out of my comfort zone,” she says. “After trying so many different things that didn’t give me the results I wanted, CrossFit was my Hail Mary attempt to change my life.”
And as Haley puts it simply: “It worked!”
That experience is a big part of what eventually led her into coaching.
From Athlete to Coach
Haley is passionate about the impact CrossFit can have on someone’s life beyond just physical changes.
For her, CrossFit helped build strength, confidence, consistency, and a belief in what her body was capable of doing. Now, as a coach, she loves helping other people experience those same moments.
Her favorite part of coaching at CrossFit Townie is watching members achieve goals they once thought were out of reach.
There’s something pretty special about seeing someone lift a weight, learn a movement, finish a workout, or accomplish something they genuinely didn’t think they could do, and Haley loves being part of that process.
Haley currently holds her CrossFit Online Level 1 certification and is continuing to grow as part of the Townie coaching team.
A Few Fun Facts About Coach Haley
If there’s a barbell involved, there’s a good chance Haley is happy.
Her favorite movements are pretty simple: all things barbell.
Her least favorite?
Wall balls.
Actually, Haley says wall balls can “kick rocks,” and if she had the power to delete one movement from CrossFit forever, wall balls would be gone. 😂
Her favorite post-workout option is a big smoothie packed with protein powder, creatine, PBfit, high-protein yogurt, chia seeds, banana, blueberries, and water.
Fitness Beyond the Gym
Health and fitness are especially important to Haley because she is a mom of three boys.
She wants to be able to keep up with them, be active with them, and show them what taking care of yourself looks like.
She also wants her boys to understand the connection between a healthy body and a healthy mind and, maybe most importantly, she wants them to always know that their mom is strong and capable.
That mindset fits right into what we believe at CrossFit Townie: fitness isn’t only about what happens during a workout. It’s about building a healthier, stronger life outside the gym too.
Haley’s Advice for Someone Nervous to Start CrossFit
Haley understands exactly what it feels like to be nervous about walking into a CrossFit gym for the first time.
Her advice?
“You don’t have to be ‘good’ at CrossFit for it to change your life. Just keep showing up for yourself and trust the process. Your future self will look back one day and be amazed at how far you’ve come.”
We couldn’t agree more.
We’re excited to have Haley joining our coaching team and helping more people discover what they’re capable of.
If you see Coach Haley around the gym, be sure to say hey and maybe don’t ask her about wall balls. ❤️
