April Athlete of the Month – Darcy Black

If you’ve been around Townie for any length of time, you’ve seen Darcy putting in the work.

She’s been with us for 5 years now, and her story is a good reminder of what actually works when it comes to health and fitness.

Darcy didn’t jump straight into group classes. She started with personal training, learning movements, building confidence, and laying a foundation. From there, she transitioned into group training and stayed consistent.

No big swings. No “all in, all out.” Just showing up, doing the work, and stacking days. And over time, that’s turned into real results.

She’s built a routine that fits her life. She’s stronger, healthier, and more confident, and it shows in the way she carries herself both in and out of the gym.

That’s the part people miss. It’s not just about workouts. It’s about building something sustainable that actually improves your life.

What makes Darcy’s story even better is that it’s not just about her. Her son is also a part of our CrossFit Kids program, which says a lot about the kind of environment she’s chosen to be part of. When your kids grow up seeing you prioritize your health, show up consistently, and be part of a strong community, that matters.

That’s what we’re building here. Just people showing up, doing the work, and getting better over time. Darcy is a perfect example of that.

From Darcy

“Townie isn’t just where I build strength physically and mentally, but where I’ve found my people, my motivation and a community that lifts me up.”

We’re proud of you, Darcy. This one’s well deserved.
